June 15th – SAVE THE DATE, next mapathon at MLK Library
June 15th is the Read-In at DC Public Library, where all 26 library locations in the city have a program. We’re hosting a DC By the Book Mapathon at the MLK Library (901 G Street NW).
When: Saturday, June 15, 1-4 p.m. (come for all or part)
Where: Washingtoniana, Room 304
What to Bring: A laptop if you have one
RSVP: Encouraged at email@example.com, but not required
At the mapathon, we’ll spend the evening entering passages from fiction set in D.C. into the new tool. We’ll have a cart of pre-selected books (Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon, pretty much everything by George Pelecanos, Silenced by Kia Dupree, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu, just to name a handful) or you’re welcome to bring your own.
